LEPROSY AWARENESS

  0

Leprosy is preventable, treatable and curable.

On the 31st of January 2021, the World will be celebrating the World Leprosy Day. This day aims to raise awareness about Leprosy, currently named (Hansens disease).

From the history books, World Leprosy Day was established in 1954 by French philanthropist and writer, Raoul Follereau.

Alot of people affected by Hansens disease find it difficult to work because of the disability caused by the disease or may face stigma which prevents them from working.

This year, lets unite and join in the fight to End stigma, and advocate for the Mental Well being of persons who have experienced Leprosy.
