NTRH To Welcome A Haemophilia Clinic
Updated on: Mar 05, 2021
On March 4 2021, H.E Governor Ndiritu Muriithi accompanied by the county first Lady and Novo Nordisk Foundation, Kenya Haemophilia Association and Novo Nordisk Haemophilia Foundation representatives held a consultative meeting at NTRH.
The team assessed the ground where the incoming project on accelerating access to Blood Disorder Care in Kenya would be set up.
This is a project between Novo Nordisk Foundation, Kenya Haemophilia Association and Novo Nordisk Haemophilia Foundation.
The project will carry out the following activities;
1. Renovating and establishment of the Haemophilia and Sickle cell clinic on the space provided.
2. Furnish the clinic, provide haemophilia and sickle cell training to selected doctors, nurses, physiotherapists and lab technicians in Laikipia and neighbouring counties.
3. The project will also provide lab and physiotherapy equipment for the facility.
This is a remarkable addition in increasing the diagnostic capacity of NTRH as the government seek to deepen investments in primary and preventative health care.
