County Environment Team Plants Trees At Ewaso Narok Forest

                County Department of Environment, Water and Natural Resources during tree planting exercise at Ewaso Narok Forest in Rumuruti Sub-County. Ann Wambui, Environment officer in the Department led her colleagues in planting over 2,000 seedlings of indigenous trees in this important wetland area.
The Ministry of Environment and Forestry in the National government has published a notice of intention that seeks to gazette the wetland into a protected natural resource. Ewaso Narok forest is crucial as it serves thousands of residents downstream. Wambui said that continuous tree planting will address the challenges of global warming.
