Waivers On Business Permit Fee
Opening up a new business in Laikipia county has been eased, following the announcement of partial and full waivers on Business Permit Fees.
For any business opening between July and September, the Laikipia County Revenue Board will issue a 50% waiver on the Single Business Permit Fee.
For businesses opening between October and December, the Laikipia County Revenue Board will issue a full waiver for the license of the current year and an invoice will be issued for the next year.
Normally, any business opening, be it January or November, the owner pays the full amount. This at times discourages entepreneurs who want to establish businesses as a calendar year comes to an end.
The County Government of Laikipia has therefore developed a way of encouraging business establishment at any time of the year.
