Capacity Building For Staff Development

Employee Training and development is among the key initiatives that the Laikipia County Revenue Board has always embraced as a crucial strategy that serves as motivation and enables it to create a highly skilled workforce.

In line with the above, the Board this year organized a one-month training for revenue Board staff on Revenue Enhancement Course at the Kenya School of Government(Embu Campus).

The course aimed to equip the Revenue officers with requisite knowledge on County revenue and expenditure, legal and institutional framework in revenue collection, and strategies for enhancing revenue collection. It also entailed the role of ethics and integrity in revenue collection, public relations and customer care, work-life balance, performance management, and effective and efficient service delivery.

Further, the Laikipia County Revenue Board carried out Team building exercises for all revenue staff members. Team building is an integral part of all organizations. It fosters collaboration and synergy among people who work for the same organization and forms the cornerstone of effective management because it makes employees more efficient and productive.

During the capacity-building exercises held on 29-30th January and 5th-6th February 2022, the revenue staff were engaged in various activities that included: communication skills, team work, and team effort, appreciation and accountability, and loyalty.
