County Government of Laikipia

The Human resource in the County Government of Laikipia is set to undergo a major transformation, a commitment made by H.E. Governor Irungu.

For starters, among the first roles he played immediately after he was sworn in as the county boss for the next five years, and he reinstated the doctors sacked in 2019. He also advised reviewing the terms of employment for the medical staff working at the various health facilities across the county from contract to permanent and pensionable.

In regard to Human Resources and staff welfare in the health department, we will increase the number of specialized healthcare workers on a permanent and pensionable basis. We will more so fast track promotions of staff and establish a strong staff welfare program as a way of making them more productive.the Governor said.

In other departments as well, H.E. Governor Irungu is passionate to provide a conducive environment to ensure all staff members work to move Laikipia to the next level through the provision of professional services to all Laikipians.

We can reward the government workforce not always monetarily but by according them a conducive working environment.the Governor said.

He added that I believe that with unity, we will be able to do great things that will make Laikipia a leading force for good in the country.

Coming from the political season that most people had aligned themselves with, the governor promised to be a servant of all notwithstanding the political inclinations.

I have taken an oath of allegiance before God and all of you, that with diligence, I will serve the people of Laikipia. Let me hereby state that there will be no victimization or favor based on political allegiance. We all have the right to dissent peaceably for this is within our democratic right.the county head said.
