Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital is well on course to deliver a mega liquid oxygen storage unit to address its growing needs. The 10-ton bulk oxygen storage facility will address inconveniences in the pricing of retail procurement, and serve the needs of the product for the hospital now and the foreseeable future.
The eight million shillings project is expected to reduce oxygen procurement spending by 66 per cent, with, for instance, a 1000 shillings unit being delivered at about 340 shillings. This will be a relief to clients, as this price reduction will be felt down to the end user.
This project is expected to plug the occasional inconveniences caused by breakdowns of the current oxygen plant.
Pure oxygen is essential for running critical sections such as the critical care unit, and theatre operations, among others.
