Governor Joshua Irungu EGH Presides Over The Swearing In Of County Secretary And Confirmation Of Chief Officers

H.E Governor Joshua Irungu, EGH presided over the swearing in of Mr.Koinange Wahome, The County Secretary and County Chief Officers (COs) pursuant to the provision of section 45 of the County Governments Act, 2012 and section 11 (2) of the Public Appointments (County Assemblies Approval) Act, 2017; that outlines the procedures guiding this process.
The Governor issued appointment letters to the Chief Officers who will serve as the accounting and authorized officers in their respective County Departments headed by County Executive Committee Members (CECMs).
The Chief Officers are;
1. Peter Ndirangu Hinga - County Administration and Public Service
2. Samuel Abram Lemanyishoe - Water. Environment and Natural resources
3. Jecinta Segetet Koree - Youth and Sports
4. Daniel King'ori Ngumi - Finance, County Planning and Development
5. Peter Gathecha Macharia - Infrastructure, Lands, Public Works and Urban Development
6. Mary Wanja Gichuru - Livestock and Fisheries
7. Samuel Njuki Mahiga - Trade, Tourism, Cooperative and Enterprise
8. Kenneth Irumbi Kibara - Lands, Housing, Urban Development and Renewable Energy
9. John Mwangi Gichuki - Education, Social Services & Gender
The Governor congratulated the County Secretary and the Chief Officers and asked them to serve the people of Laikipia with dedication and diligence.
