County Government of Laikipia

Laikipia County is in the advanced stage of establishing a county court at Nanyuki law courts.

This announcement was made on 30th January 2023 by the County Secretary, Koinange Wahome after chairing a meeting attended by the Chief Magistrate, Chief Officer Finance, Chief Officer County Administration, CEO Revenue Board, Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, County Attorney and the County legal team.

The County court which will be operationalized soon will be dealing with offences arising from breach of county by-laws.

This will be a big step towards ensuring that the rule of law is upheld, compliance to statutory County regulations maintained and justice is served fairly, peacefully and in a dignified way.
