Laikipia USHIRIKA DAY was celebrated in style. The worlds 96th event coincided with the official opening of NABOSA housing scheme by HE the Governor Ndiritu Muriithi - NABOSA scheme is a six acre housing project by bodaboda operators in the environs of Nanyuki. This project is very iconic as it demonstrates the power of joining hands (cooperatives) and the culture of savings.
In addition, five societies got half a million each through the cooperative revolving fund.
The government believes in empowering cooperatives so that they be part of the implementing entities in its manifesto
