Farmers Enjoy Extension Services, Advice And Other Farming Skills At The Business And Agri Expo.

The demand and hunger for knowledge on Agriculture was evident today at the Business and Agri Expo taking place at Namelok Retreat Centre,Oljabet Laikipia West.The Expo reached out to over 850 farmers drawn from all wards in Laikipia West.
The department's booth was the most frequently visited as farmers sought knowledge from the various extension officers from the various sections; crops, livestock and vetinary services.
Through the leadership of H.E Joshua Irungu the department will enhance extension services through field days, Farmer Field and Business schools ,on farm demonstrations , farm visits by extension Officer and digitalization of extension services.
The theme was :Increased productivity by Climate Smart Agriculture and technologies. Farmers were trained on various technologies and techniques to adapt to the changing climatic and weather patterns.
