Nyeris Mission Hospital Benchmarks With Laikipia's NTRH

A team from Tumutumu Mission Hospital, Nyeri County visited Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital (NTRH) on benchmark mission to learn about its success on Hospital Information Management Systems technology adoption for efficiency in service delivery.
NTRHs management led by CEO Dr. Sammy Kilonzo, briefed the visiting team, drawn from administration, finance, nursing, ICT among other departments, on the gains the hospital has made by leveraging on technology to deliver a seamless hospital operation.
These include OPD patient flow management, inventory stock control, financial, pharmacy management among other areas, all in real time. Thanks to sustained improvement over time, NTRH has been able to maximize the potential of technology to not only improve services, but also boost transparency.
The team reported the experience as a worthwhile visit, and a mission accomplished, affirming their strong interest to have their hospital implement the system as soon as possible.
The series of peer learning visits from different organizations affirm that the transformation in Laikipias Health sector by the County Government in all spheres of operations for public and private healthcare providers is bearing fruits visible across the country.
