PCRA Report Writing Workshop

  0
The cross-sectoral technical working group led by Laikipia county's Climate Change Unit convened a 3-day workshop to develop a multi-purpose climate risk assessment report, which will support the development of a County Climate Change Action Plan( CCCAP).
This report results from the just concluded PCRA (Participatory Climate Risk Assessment) process, an undertaking under FLLoCA (Financing Locally-Led Climate Action) program, which identified ward-level climate risks, hazards, vulnerabilities, resources, as well as investment areas for climate resilience.
All the data collected during the PCRA exercise was analyzed and harmonized to draft a climate risk assessment report.
This report will be shared with relevant stakeholders for review and validation. The validation exercise will ensure that the report conforms with critical policies and documents such as the County Integrated Development Plan (CIDP).
Upon validation, the report will then be submitted for approval by H.E. Governor Joshua Irungu.
The technical working group included directors from the core departments of Water, Environment and Natural Resources, Livestock, and Meteorology, as well as representatives from Economic Planning, IMPACT, and CETRAD.
