The Global Action For Fall Armyworm (FAW) Control In Kenya.

In response to the threat paused by the fall armyworm to food security in the county and globally, the department of agriculture hosted a delegation from the Global action for Fall Armyworm (FAW) Control in Kenya program
The program will strengthen the capacities of FAW affected areas to effectively respond and protect food production from the emerging transboundary pests .
H.E Governor Joshua Irungu EGH promised his support to the partners as this will help address food security in the county being one of his main deliverables to Laikipians.
While addressing the farmers Dr.Jingyuan Xia the Director plant production and protection division in the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations said that Laikipia County will be the Pilot county for farmers field school and the program.
The farmers were delighted to receive the visitors and the program which will offer a solution to the issue of fall army worm which has been a major threat for farmers in the County.
