Laikipia County Enterprise Fund has concluded a two-day sensitization forum in Thome, Kiamariga, Salama, Pesi areas within Salama Ward. The forums served as a platform to share Enterprise Fund objectives of enterprise development and provision of affordable credit to Micro Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) as well as educate group members on the process of registration, group operation, financial business management, record keeping skills and requisite documents required during loan application.
Most of the entrepreneurs were involved in various economic activities like table banking, farming, livestock trading, general trading and Boda Boda operation. Enterprise development and wealth creation are one of the key pillars of H.E. Governor Joshua Irungu EGH manifesto. Towards achieving this pledge, there is need to continuously sensitize and educate MSMEs in the County on the affordable financial options available to them.

Through Laikipia County Enterprise Fund, he intends to stimulate the economy and alleviate the living standard of people of Laikipia by availing loans at affordable interest rate," Joseph Maina, Laikipia County Enterprise Fund Board Chair affirms.
