Transformative Partnership Launched: Laikipia ST. Martin Join Hands For Youth Empowerment Project

        In a significant development, St. Martin's Catholic Social Apostolate (CSA) and the Laikipia County Development Authority (LCDA) have officially launched a collaborative project aimed at empowering the youth in Nyahururu and Rumuruti through vocational training and skill development.
The Project which will focus on Nyahururu and Rumuruti vocational training centers, aims at offering various vocational courses to empower the youth with valuable skills for their future careers.
A crucial point of discussion was the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), which will govern the partnership between St. Martin CSA and the county government. It was agreed that the MoU must be comprehensive while addressing the projects specifics while allowing for broader collaboration in other areas.
The meeting, which took place at St. Martin CSA Premises on September 1,2023, brought together key stakeholders who play vital roles in the realization of this project.
Mary Gachara, Vice Director of Communication and Community Engagement at St. Martin CSA, provided an insightful introduction to St. Martin CSA, emphasizing its vision, mission, approach, target groups, and intervention strategies.
Through our funding partner, we hope to attract more donors on board to help us achieve objectives, she said.
She also highlighted the organizations partnership with Comundo, the funding partner for the joint project under discussion.
The CEO of LCDA Mr. James Mugambi expressed his appreciation for the collaboration and highlighted the transformative potential of this partnership.
The county governments is fully committed to support the project, and recognises its importance in contributing to the betterment of Laikipians, he affirmed.
