ANOTHER BOREHOLE SUNK BY LAIKIPIA DRILLING RIG

  1
September 28, 2023: The newly acquired water drilling rig machine has made another remarkable breakthrough after sinking
the second borehole at Kibubungi village, still at Tigithi Ward.
The water was found at 40 metres deep. The drilling is still ongoing to ensure the well has enough yield
for sustainable use by the targeted community at Kibubungi area.
This comes barely two weeks since the first borehole was successfully sunk at Kiahuko Main Tank in the
same ward.
The works continues, sinking more boreholes and equipping them until H. E. Governor Joshua Irungus
manifesto promise of 300 boreholes across the county is achieved.
This way, Laikipia will bid goodbye to perennial water shortage especially for domestic as the plans
escalate to ensure that even enough water for farming is available.
Ensuring every household in Laikipia live a prosperous life.
