CGL & ConnectedCompute: MoU To Enhance Digital Literacy In Laikipia County

Laikipia County Government has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with ConnectedCompute in effort of enhancing digital literacy in Laikipia County.
HE. Governor Joshua Irungu EGH signed the MoU on behalf of his administration while Mr. Milan Radia, Chief Executive Officer of ConnectedCompute, signed on behalf of his organisation.
The partnership is designed to improve digital accessibility and literacy in Laikipia County by leveraging on the expertise of ConnectedCompute - in deploying next-generation digital infrastructure.
Further, in the MoU design, ConnectedCompute and Laikipia shall implement rural digital infrastructure solutions, particularly the deployment of e-Hubs in Laikipia County.
The e-Hubs facilities will also provide essential services including e-Government applications for efficient public service delivery, ICT training programs to enhance digital literacy and skills, and digital education resources to support learning and development.
Governor Irungu appreciated the ConnectedCompute team for their acceptance to join Laikipia Countys development agenda saying, its such transformative partnerships that alleviate youth from poverty by imparting skills and creating employment.
The partnership was facilitated by Laikipia County Development Authority, LCDA.
Governor was accompanied by LCDA CEO Mr. James Mugambi, County Attorney Mr. Alexander Muchemi, County Director of Legal Ms. Annette Wambui, LCDA directors, and other senior government officials.
