During this meeting, the residents of Gatero highlighted several key development interventions they would like to see implemented:
1. Milk Cooler for Dairy Farming: Residents expressed the need for the establishment of a milk cooler to support the vibrant dairy farming sector in the area, managed under the Gatero Dairy Cooperative Society.
2. Road Connections: While acknowledging the significant and intentional improvements in road infrastructure under Governor Irungu's leadership, residents emphasized the need for further enhancement of road connectivity to better support their agricultural activities.
3. Clean Water Supply: There is a pressing need to expand the supply of clean water to meet the rising demand in the area.
4. New Dispensary: Residents requested the expedited construction of a new dispensary at Gatero trading centre to reduce the long distances currently travelled to access health services in Kaite and Oljabet health centers.
Governor Irungu assured the residents that his administration would take these requests into account and align the budget accordingly to ensure fair and equitable distribution of Laikipias resources across all 15 wards.
