Roundtable Breakfast meeting with implementing partners and sponsors of the Menstrual Health Management Programme (MHeM) in Laikipia.
In attendance were the Governor Hon. Ndiritu Muriithi, Red Cross Regional Cordinator Gitonga Mugambi, Lion Helen Kurutu, Daraja Academy, Major Claire Blakiston BATUK, The East African Women's League Chair Stephanie Mwiti, Ministry of Education Director Laikipia County Susan Murerwa, VUMA, IlNgwesi Eco Lodge, Days for Girls, Chair of the Revenue Board in Laikipia Wangari Wachira, Freestyle Media, Mtoto Wetu Joy, CEC Agriculture Dr.Lucy Murugi, Chief Officer Health Dr.Mogoi, Helen Gathogo Director of One More Day, OlPejeta Conservancy among others.
We updated our partners on the progress made since we launched the programme and we renewed our commitment to partner in the implementation and distribution of the sanitary pads and dignity packs for our boys and girls in school. We also discussed and agreed to explore available alternatives such as reusable sanitary pads and hygienic disposal solutions.
