County Government of Laikipia

Rumuruti Municipality is a town in Laikipia County in Kenya's former Rift Valley Province. It is approximately 40 kilometers due north from Nyahururu, on the Nyahururu-Maralal road. Despite being smaller than either Nanyuki or Nyahururu, which are on the Southeastern and Southwestern corners of Laikipia respectively, its central location meant that it was selected as the administrative headquarters of the new County government in 2013

The Municipal Manager shall have the power and shall be required to:
Exercise supervision over all departments and agencies of the Municipality and provide for the coordination of their activities;
Enforce the provisions of this Charter, Municipal By-laws, and all applicable laws;
Exercise powers granted to the Municipal Manager in this Charter, By-laws and applicable laws concerning the appointment and removal of certain officers, employees, and members of committees of the Board of the Municipality;
