Projects In Laikipia North Progressing Well

Projects initiated by the County Government the Northern part of Laikipia are progressing on well. This was revealed yesterday 25 August 2020 when Governor Ndiritu Muriithi led team officials from the county government on an inspection tour.
Joined by Rtd. General Mwaniki - the Chair of National Youth Service (NYS), Directors from the agency, a representative from the International Labour Office (ILO), the governor had a chance to assess some of the recently completed projects, as well as the ongoing ones.
The project tour started in Muramati area to assess the progress of the construction of Muramati Bridge, before continuing to Gachuero Bridge, Murungai Borehole and Tetu Borehole.
The inspection tour also made stops at the ongoing Mia Moja, Chumvi Bridge, Chumvi road works done by NYS, Arjiju borehole and ended at Dol Dol for a public engagement for Smart Towns programme.
At Dol Dol the county leadership engaged the community on the towns planning and renewal under the Smart Towns Initiative where locals had a chance to give views on how they want their new town to look like.
The engagement was one of the many more lined up to reach common grounds on the residents popular town plan.
Also present during the journey were area MCAs Hon. Chalumbo Kaparo (Segera Ward), Hon. Daniel Mugweru (Umande Ward), Hon. Daniel Nyausi - Deputy Speaker and member for Mukogodo East Ward, Hon. George Meshami (Mukogodo West) and Nominated MCA Hon. Zamzam Hussein.
