County Government of Laikipia

In line with the ongoing reforms in the Laikipia County Public Service aimed at improving service
delivery, HE Governor Ndiritu Muriithi has made several changes in his government touching two
departments as follows:.
Education, Culture, Youth and Sports
1. Ms Wangari Wachira, County Executive Committee Member, Education, Culture and
Sports.
2. Mr James Mbucho, Chief Officer
3. Ms Peris Nyakio Mutua, Ag. Director Tivet,
Administration, Public Service Management and ICT
There have been new appointment of five (5) sub-county administrators and 21 additional
administrative officers 1, who will be deployed as field (ward) and office administrators. The
newly appointed sub-county administrators include:
1. Mr Charles Ndegwa, Laikipia West sub-county
2. Mr Anthony Muchungu Waruru, Nyahururu Sub-county
3. Ms Grace Nyambura Kinyua Laikipia East sub-county
4. Mr Nocholas Ecaras Leiroia, Laikipia Central Sub-county
5. Mr John Muruthi Ndungu, Laikipia North Sub-county
Further measures which include and not limited to promotions, deployment and right-placing will
be effected as result of the recently-concluded staff performance appraisal process.
