Newly Recruited Ward Administrators Deployed To Their Respective Wards

The government today has deployed twenty ward Administrators to all fifteen wards while others have been deployed at the headquarter.
This incoming team, mostly young men and women, bring in new impetus in coordination of Government projects at ward level.
Governor Ndiritu Muriithi emphasized that the new team's primary duty is to aid PRODUCTION. To mean, all development projects must be properly coordinated to achieve maximum impact.
How? For Instance, agriculture must graduate to agribusiness, Innovators must create technologies that will bring value addition in production, while enterprises expand to create wealth and employment.
Administrator's work therefore, must ensure that all projects from various departments initiated by the County government, from their individual wards, must be aligned to the overall of objective of creating wealth and employment to Laikipians.
"You must help Mwananchi to align their mentality and efforts to beat the tradition of consumption and no production. Our efforts at high level of policy making should be actualised at village level so that we can grow economically as a people," the Governor directed.
On his part, the Deputy Governor cautioned them from treating other leaders in their areas of justifications as rivals.
"Respect all leaders in your ward. Don't compete with them, work with them. Your work is cut out, MCA's work is cut too. The National government Administrator's work is also cut. But you all work for the same Mwananchi, so respectfully, work together, " DG urged.
"Link Mwananchi with us policymakers, let Mwananchi feel the government. That when they need you, you respond promptly with solutions," CEC Administration, Madam Rose Maitai, advised.
County Secretary, while deploying them said that those who previously worked as Administrators at ward level have been promoted to Deputy Sub-County Administrators while others have been moved to various departments to complement the administrative functions in those departments.
These efforts, Governor Muriithi said, are geared towards making Laikipia a properly managed organisation; functions and responsibilities clearly aligned to overall objectives of making Laikipia the best county with best quality of life; and with economically empowered citizenry.
Governor, Deputy Governor, CEC Administration, County Secretary, all wished the new team well and promised them utmost support while discharging their duties.
