Two Hundred Residents Of Likii Benefit With Food Packages

Laikipia continues to strengthen her partnership with the corporate world, local banks especially, being at the forefront to support the County during the COVID-19 interventions.
ABSA bank, yesterday, 1st of December 2020, in pursuant to their promise of supporting the Lisha Jamii Initiative kept their promise by distributing food packages to 200 vulnerable families in Likii, in Nanyuki Ward.
Coordinated by Laikipia Lisha Jamii Secretariat, using the digital platform of informing beneficiaries through text messages of their food package, the County team together with the Bank team successfully distributed the food.
Deputy Governor John Mwaniki appreciated ABSA Bank for their generous contribution. He promised them that the County Government of Laikipia will seek to strengthen the relationship especially in capital sourcing to enable traders recover from effects of the pandemic
