In attendance was county commissioners, NCIC commissioner Sam Kona, Governor Ndiritu Muriithi.

The champions were each honored with a bull and a medal as a way of showing gratitude for their effort and also encouraging others to be peace ambassadors wherever they are.

It was a great day of rewarding peace ambassadors in our communities. This is evidence that our collaborative effort is yielding fruits. said Governor Ndiritu Muriithi.

  • Communities will keep peace. All communities within these counties will keep peace and champion all election candidates in performing their campaigns based on ideas and not insults.
  • Candidates will respect each other. All candidates from this area will carry themselves with decorum and basic decency. They will respect each othere despite their political differences.
  • The elected members will champion for more resources for soft security strategies after elections in their various houses.

Samburu county commissioner Henry Wafula stated that the national government has been in collaboration with the Amaya Triangle Initiative and there has been progressing in terms of security. Having worked in Samburu for four years before being transferred to Samburu, he has seen the collaboration bringing peace and making the four counties one large community.
