Laikipia Governor H.E Joshua Irungu Condoles With The Family Of Popular Laikipia Environmentalist Francis Mwangi

Laikipia Governor H.E Joshua Irungu has sent a message of condolence to the family of the late Laikipia Environmentalist Mr. Francis Zachariah Mwangi Githui, popularly known as "Thuti". The Governor hailed him as a great environmentalist and a true son of Laikipia who will forever be remembered for his great passion for the well-being of future generations.
All his life, Mr. Francis committed himself to care for the environment through activities like tree planting and garbage management. He came up with innovative garbage management solutions and embarked on planting fruit trees in learning institutions and urban areas out of his own initiative.
"May the almighty God grant his soul eternal rest in the unpolluted celestial shores", wrote the Governor. Laikipia county has lost such an icon, but his legacy will live on.
