September 14, 2023: Tigithi Primary School ECDE pupils have received fortified soy porridge flour that will last the 100 pupils the rest of the term.
This is in line with Governor Joshua Irungu EGHs commitment to run porridge program for the Early Childhood Development Education Centres in Laikipia.
Plans are at advance stage to roll out the program in other ECDE centres but priority being on the hardships areas that were worst hit by drought but balanced across the County.
County intends to loop in more partners in running a holistic and sustainable program that will ensure smooth and complete transition of pupils from ECDE to primary schools.
