Governor, MCAs Pleased With Service Delivery At Nanyuki Hospital

Nanyuki, Wednesday, July 10, 2019..........., Members of the County Assembly of Laikipia today toured Nanyuki Teaching and Referral Hospital to familiarize themselves with the services offered at the health facility.
HE Governor Ndiritu Muriithi was also in the hospital to see how the staff audit of the Health department was progressing.
The members were visibly impressed with the level of services the facility is able to offer. The tour offered them a rare glimpse at the equipment and services offered at the radiology and renal unit.
Staff at the renal unit explained the processes that take place to serve a total of 230 patients per month at the renal dialysis machines.
At the radiology department, the hospital boasts of a host of complex equipment ranging from digital-ray to mammogram, and ultrasound machines.
NTRH emergency team responded to a traffic accident along Nanyuki-Rumuruti road and made a successful evacuation to the facility. Two of the accident victims are fast recuperating at the wards. The two are part of 17 patients at the male wards and eight others at the female wards on Wednesday morning.
In the morning hours, the maternity wing had admitted seven mothers, with three deliveries recorded. The infant nursery wing is attending to six infants who are in stable condition. A total of 35 doctors and specialists are now manning the hospital
The outpatient wing has continued to average at over 500 patients per day.
